You can use you own tomates form the green house, but I to eat them fresh from the plant are and use tinned tomatoes for this soup instead.
Buy the best quality tinned tomatoes, the cheapest sometimes contain more water than tomato. I prefer to use whole peeled tomatoes, but it’s also just fine if you only can get your hands on chopped ones.
